Gram chair

Every gram (village) in Bangladesh has a carpenter who makes this chair. Ours are made in Sylhet from reclaimed teak, sanded smoother than the originals and finished in oil rather than varnish. Sturdy enough for a courtyard, handsome enough for a dining table.
